The Young Pharaoh and the Sage©

So, this project comes to us via a long and winding road. One part was born of a simple math question I pondered quite some time ago ~ early 1990's, I think. And then, many years later, a second math question, involving the first, produced a real head-scratcher. I wrote-up several versions of this second math question because it revealed, to me, at least, a very curious idea. But, there it all lay, for years ~ as they say.

And then, one day recently, while my brain was idling away, a scene opened on to it, and before long an amazing possibility presented itself. That possibility became this project. Let's look at the first 3 important pages....

It is my hope that many will want to see how this "turns out". In essence, this project is Hand-Art: a bit of creative writing and a bit of intriguing math ~ all taken together in the symbolic form of a calendar cranked out of my home office. And, with deep respect to the ancient astronomical knowledge we've come to understand, this calendar presents itself as a solstitial calendar ~ making June the first month, as it contains the Summer Solstice. It occurs to me that this effort may become a collectible, though of a quizzical sort. I hope you will see, as I do, the very real possibility of this iconic WTF finding it way onto the field of History ~ and worthy of a spot on your wall... Yours, SLG

Though this project features some trick'sy math, I have a serious math project that has come to its final stages. This calendar project may help me build resources enough to pursue an audience that can parse my arguments correctly ~ an audience that is rarely granted freely.
